Who Is This Bootcamp For?
DevOps Engineers implementing secrets management
Security Engineers securing application infrastructure
Platform Engineers building internal developer platforms
Site Reliability Engineers managing production systems
Cloud Engineers working with sensitive credentials
What You'll Build
Real portfolio artifacts you can put on your GitHub and show hiring managers.
Production-ready Vault cluster
Deploy a 3-node highly-available Vault cluster with auto-unseal, audit logging, and integrated storage. This is the exact architecture most organizations use in production, and the capstone project walks you through building it from scratch.
Kubernetes secrets integration
Wire up Vault Kubernetes authentication, inject secrets into pods with the Vault Agent sidecar, and rotate credentials automatically. Every platform engineering team running Kubernetes needs this pattern.
Enterprise disaster recovery
Configure Vault replication across regions with automated failover. Implement backup and restore procedures, monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, and advanced authentication including OIDC and MFA.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this enough to pass the HashiCorp Vault Associate exam?
Yes. The bootcamp covers 100% of the Vault Associate 003 exam objectives through three progressive courses. Many students pass the exam on their first attempt after completing the bootcamp. The first course (Vault 101) focuses specifically on certification preparation with practice questions and exam strategy.
How long will this bootcamp really take?
The curriculum is designed for 3 weeks of intensive study. Most working professionals take 4-6 weeks at 8-12 hours per week. The bootcamp is entirely self-paced — there is no cohort schedule or deadlines. You keep access as long as your subscription is active.
What if I have zero Vault experience?
The bootcamp starts from fundamentals in Week 1 (Vault 101) and assumes no prior Vault knowledge. You do need basic Linux command-line comfort and an understanding of how HTTP APIs work. If you are comfortable with those, you are ready to start.
Are the labs current with the latest Vault version?
Yes. All labs are validated against Vault 1.17+ and are re-tested whenever HashiCorp releases a new stable version. Week 1 labs use the TeKanAid academy lab system with pre-configured cloud environments. Weeks 2 and 3 use GitHub Codespaces where you run the labs directly in your browser.
What is the difference between the academy lab system and GitHub Codespaces?
Week 1 (Vault 101) uses the TeKanAid academy lab system — pre-configured Hetzner VMs with check scripts and an AI lab assistant. Weeks 2 and 3 (Vault 201 and 202) use GitHub Codespaces — you launch the lab environment directly from a GitHub repository in your browser. Both approaches give you real hands-on practice. Recorded video walk-throughs are available for all labs in Weeks 2 and 3.
Do I need a cloud account (AWS, Azure, GCP) to follow along?
No. Week 1 labs run entirely in the TeKanAid academy lab system which provisions cloud environments automatically. Weeks 2 and 3 labs run in GitHub Codespaces. Some optional advanced labs include AWS Secrets Manager integration which works within the AWS free tier, but these are not required to complete the bootcamp.
What happens to my access when I cancel my subscription?
Your access to the bootcamp content ends at the end of your current billing period. You keep any certificates of completion you have earned. If you re-subscribe later, you pay the current rate. Spring Founder Edition pricing ($79/mo with code SPRINGFOUND26) is locked only for continuous subscriptions — if you cancel and re-subscribe, you pay the standard $99/mo.
I already know Vault basics. Should I skip Week 1?
If you can confidently explain Vault architecture, authentication methods, policies, secrets engines, and Vault Agent, you can skip directly to Week 2 (Kubernetes integration). However, Week 1 also includes certification exam preparation that many experienced users find valuable for filling gaps. All three weeks are unlocked from day one — you are free to start wherever you want.
