Advanced State Management and Drift Detection on GCP

This lab teaches production-ready Terraform state operations on Google Cloud using the same learning progression as the AWS and Azure variants.

You'll learn to:

• Bootstrap a GCS backend bucket with versioning and migrate local state to remote state
• Store Terraform state centrally in GCS for team workflows
• Import existing GCP resources with declarative import blocks
• Refactor Terraform resource addresses safely with moved blocks
• Detect out-of-band changes and reconcile drift intentionally

By the end of the lab, you'll understand how the same Terraform state lifecycle maps onto GCP primitives while keeping the underlying workflow consistent across clouds.
