RHCE Mock Exam 2: Alternative Practice Exam

This is a second complete RHCE EX294 practice exam, built with different scenarios than Mock Exam 1 so you get genuinely new practice across all objectives. It runs on the same five-VM topology as the real exam (1 control node + 4 managed nodes).

The exam is organized into five task groups:

• Group 1: Control node setup, inventory, and configuration
• Group 2: Variables, facts, and Ansible Vault
• Group 3: Roles and collections with a Jinja2 template
• Group 4: RHCSA automation -- storage, repositories, users, and SELinux
• Group 5: Advanced playbook features -- conditionals, loops, error handling, and scheduling

Work through the groups in order. Set a three-hour timer to simulate exam conditions, read every task before starting, and verify each playbook with ansible-navigator before moving on.

Note on duration: This lab is intentionally exam-length (around 3 hours) rather than the usual 30-45 minute lab. It is a capstone assessment, not a tutorial.
