Install and Configure the Ansible Control Node
Install ansible-core and ansible-navigator on Rocky Linux, configure ansible.cfg, and establish SSH key-based connectivity to four managed nodes.
Lab Overview
In this lab, you will set up a complete Ansible control node on Rocky Linux 10 -- the same environment used in the RHCE EX294 exam.
You will:
- Install ansible-core and ansible-navigator using dnf
- Create a project-level ansible.cfg with all essential settings
- Configure privilege escalation for the automation user
- Distribute SSH keys to all managed nodes and verify connectivity
By the end of this lab, you will have a fully operational Ansible control node ready for automation work.
