EBS vs EFS - Block Storage vs File Storage on AWS
Attach an EBS volume to one instance and mount EFS across two Availability Zones to compare single-attach block storage with shared file storage.

Lab Overview
Hands-on comparison of Amazon EBS and Amazon EFS. You will create a VPC with two public subnets, launch instances in different Availability Zones, attach a gp3 EBS volume, and create an EFS file system shared across both instances.
You'll learn to:
- Create and attach a gp3 EBS volume, then format and mount it
- Create an EFS file system with mount targets in two AZs
- Mount EFS on multiple instances and verify shared access
- Compare access patterns: single-attach/single-AZ (EBS) vs multi-attach/multi-AZ (EFS)
- Decide when to pick EBS vs EFS based on workload requirements
