AWS DevOps CLI Operations Baseline
Establish your AWS CLI baseline: verify caller identity, set the default region, inspect quotas, create a tagged S3 bucket, query CloudWatch metrics, and clean up.
Lab Overview
This lab is the foundation every other DOP-C02 lab depends on. You'll work directly with the AWS CLI in a TeKanAid-provisioned AWS lab account to verify your operational baseline.
You will:
- Verify your AWS identity, account, and region with STS and the CLI
- Inspect Service Quotas for EC2 and S3
- Create a tagged S3 bucket using TeKanAid lab conventions
- Query CloudWatch metrics for the AWS namespace
- Clean up the resources you created
This lab uses only confirmed-tier services (S3, CloudWatch, EC2 read-only, STS, Service Quotas) so it runs reliably under the default TeKanAid AWS lab IAM policy.
