ACE Capstone Operations Scenario

Apply every operational skill from the Associate Cloud Engineer exam in a single troubleshooting scenario. A small application spanning Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub has been deployed with intentional misconfigurations. Your job is to diagnose and fix the issues across multiple GCP services.

This capstone lab simulates a real-world on-call scenario. The application attempts to read and write data to Cloud Storage, publish messages to Pub/Sub, and expose a web endpoint — but nothing works correctly at first. You will work through IAM access problems, service account permission gaps, storage object access failures, Pub/Sub delivery issues, and observability blind spots.

By the end, you will have a fully operational application with logging, monitoring, and a log-based metric confirming the pipeline is healthy.
