AI Platform Engineering on Azure: Agents, MCP, and APIM
AI Platform Engineering on Azure is a short, focused course for platform engineers running on Microsoft's stack. You will build a ReAct agent in C# using Microsoft Agent Framework 1.6.1, wire it to the Azure MCP Server for first-party access to subscriptions and AKS, author your own MCP server in C# that exposes Azure API Management as agent tools, and tie it all together with a multi-agent self-service flow that publishes a new API to APIM end to end with a human approval gate. This is the Azure-variant track for AI Platform Engineering Bootcamp Week 4 and Week 8. Where the bootcamp teaches multi-agent fundamentals against AWS, GCP, and the CAIPE reference architecture, this course teaches the same patterns the way Azure shops actually build them: Azure OpenAI (not OpenAI direct), Microsoft Agent Framework (not LangGraph), Azure MCP Server (not custom Python tools), APIM (not API Gateway or Cloud Endpoints), and AKS with managed identity (not EKS with IRSA).
