In this design-focused lab, you'll plan and design a complete cloud networking architecture for the TaskFlow platform without implementing it in AWS. This lab teaches you to think like a platform engineer by creating architecture plans, documenting design decisions, and understanding network design principles.
You authenticate against your own fork of the canonical TaskFlow repository, then design and commit VPC CIDR blocks for multiple environments (dev, staging, production), a 3-tier network architecture (web, application, database), routing strategies, and comprehensive security designs. Every design document is committed and pushed to your TaskFlow fork under docs/architecture/networking/, so this networking architecture becomes a permanent part of the same TaskFlow project you have been growing since Week 1.
This lab prepares you for AWS implementation in Week 9 by teaching fundamental VPC design concepts through hands-on planning exercises.
You'll learn to:
