Lab Overview

Build a resource-group scoped Azure governance workflow without requiring tenant administrator or management group permissions.

You will create tagged Azure resources, apply and test management locks, author Azure Policy artifacts, attempt a safe resource-group policy assignment when the lab service principal is allowed to do so, and use an artifact-analysis fallback when Azure Policy assignment is permission-gated.

Apply management locks and verify how lock enforcement protects Azure resources

Author Azure Policy rule, parameter, and initiative-style JSON artifacts

Attempt a safe resource-group policy assignment only when permissions allow it
